To Be Creative
Good Morning,
Creativity, what is it? Does everyone possess it? Can it be taught? In my career I have often been asked to define creativity and what it can and can not do. After many years of fumbling with the question and writing way too many elevator pitches with far too many words I realized the simple thought I want to share today:
There are some people who live in a dream worlds, and there are some who face reality; and then there are those who turn one into the other.
Have a great day and turn someone's world around today.

Well said, I agree that creativity can, to some degree, be taught. At least taught to understand the principles of things to look for or elements of what "makes" something creative. Each person possesses some degree of creativity; however, it is locked away in the corners of the brain - and without an open mind, it can never be explored.
As we have discuessed in the past, the "inner child" in everyone possesses that key to opening the mind. As we grow, we seem to think we must lock away our childish ambitions; yet, we all have our childish desires: candy, "play time", freedom, hissy-fits, adventure, etc... So, with all these childish desires, why in the working enviornment, do many look down upon "Creatives" who may act/think like children? Are we really that different? I guess the problem lies in the closed minds of the masses - and until we as a collective, open our minds, we Creatives will always be misunderstood.
