The Great Teacher
Good Morning,
I know many people view life as a succession of events in which we try to climb some imaginary ladder always reaching for the next rung. This manifest itself in our work and our leisure. Who has not wanted a better job, a bigger promotion, or a more leisurely life? Their is nothing right or wrong about this except for the fact that it often masks what our lives could really be about. Each day we awake can be considered another day in class, one in which we have been given another lesson and another opportunity to learn something.
When we cease trying to reach the next rung on this illusionary ladder, we are simply left with what we have and just what we need. We see that happiness does not exist in the objects of our desire or even those we dearly love. Happiness has always lived with the clear stable mind, unfortunately it takes many us a lifetime to discover this simple truth. This brings me to the thought for today:
Don´t blame others if you are not where you wish to be. Whatsoever they are, they are and whatsoever is, simply is. In fact, all the cunningness and the trickery of the world helps you to be aware. If this world cannot help you to be aware; then what world will ever be able to ever make you aware? This is a good world — it gives you a tremendous challenge to be wise, to be a student in the school of life. So go forth and attend class with all your heart and mind, only wisdom and happiness await the graduate.
Have a beautiful day and pay attention to the teacher today, the lessons learned will last a lifetime.

A valuable lesson I learned just the other day was to make sure that you double check your W2s on the number of Federal tax exemptions - 2 too many can be costly :) But, life is still good, we live and we learn!
